About Your Benefits

The Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee offers a comprehensive array of benefits to clergy and lay employees through the Church Pension Group (CPG) and diocese sponsored plans. These insure that both the person and the parish remain whole during times of injury and illness. We believe that we are called to be good stewards of ourselves. By using these benefits, you have access to information about living a healthy lifestyle, receiving quality care and locating support services.

Important Note on Newly Eligible Individuals Enrollment

There is no waiting period for Newly Eligible Individuals. Newly Eligible Individuals have a period of 30 days immediately following the hire date or date the individual became part of the Participating Group or became an Eligible Individual to elect a health, dental, group life, and / or disability plan for the remainder of the current plan year. Plan elections, once made, cannot be changed for the remainder of the current plan year, unless the Member experiences a Significant Life Event or HIPAA Special Enrollment Event.

If you are hiring a new employee, please complete the appropriate enrollment forms and return to Mary Embler at the Diocesan House as soon as possible to avoid possible denial of coverage.
