The Jubilee Center program was an initiative that ran under Bishop vonRosenberg as well as Bishop Young and sought to recognize special outreach ministries across the diocese. Each Jubilee Center engaged in mission and ministry with the poor and the oppressed, and demonstrated four major aspects of Jubilee Ministry: advocacy, empowerment, evangelism and outreach. Cameron Ellis of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Oak Ridge, served as the Jubilee officer up to the program’s retirement. Our communities continue to engage in flourishing outreach ministry and we thank those communities that served as Jubilee Centers.
