Thomas Merton & Monastic Prayer for All

The Right Rev. Brian L. Cole, bishop of the Episcopal Church in East Tennessee, will present a program on “Thomas Merton and Monastic Prayer for All” at the Seekers of Silence meeting Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Church of the Savior, 934 N. Weisgarber Road.
Bishop Cole, a native of Missouri, was ordained and consecrated as fifth bishop of the diocese on Dec. 2, 2017.
The meeting, hosted by Seekers of Silence from 9 a.m. to noon, is free and open to the public. All are welcome. Seekers of Silence is an ecumenical, inter-faith group seeking closer communion with God through Silence. Website: sosknoxville.org.
