2023 Absalom Jones Service

An annual tradition, the Absalom Jones service commemorates the Episcopal Church’s first African-American priest and his work for racial justice and abolition. Join us at Church of the Ascension, Sunday, March 5, at 5:00 pm. The Rev. Dr. Charles Lomax will be our guest preacher. Members of the Berea College Black Music Ensemble, under the direction of Emmanuel Stokes, will be our guest musicians. Donations in the offering will go to the Becoming Beloved Community work of the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee. Reception to follow.
