2021 Absalom Jones Weekend

The Episcopal Church of the Ascension and the Episcopal Church in East Tennessee are partnering in an Absalom Jones weekend on Saturday and Sunday, March 6 & 7. Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North, directed by Katrina Browne, Jude Ray, and Alla Kovgan and featuring speakers Dain Perry and Constance Perry, will be screened at 8:45 am Eastern on Saturday, March 6. Dain Perry will be the featured preacher on Sunday, March 7, at Church of the Ascension’s 10:30 am service on their YouTube page. That evening, at 5:00 pm, the Episcopal Church in East Tennessee will host an Absalom Jones panel discussion from Ascension. A stream of that discussion will be available on the Diocesan Facebook page and YouTube channel.
