Every summer since 1947, laymen of Episcopal churches in Tennessee have gathered at DuBose Conference Center in Monteagle, TN. Originally just one diocesan group, the men of Tennessee have maintained their bonds despite the fact that The Episcopal Church divided Tennessee into three dioceses in 1982. The Annual Conference of Tennessee Churchmen is the oldest gathering of lay people in The Episcopal Church. The annual conference of Episcopal Churchmen takes place in August.
