Peter Munson is on the adventure of a lifetime – 6 Million Steps for Kids!
Recently retired South Carolina priest, the Rev. Peter Munson, has embarked on a walking journey from Charleston, South Carolina, to San Francisco, California. The journey is in support of a calling – to walk across the country to raise money for four non-profit organizations that do great work for children.
The project is called, “6 Million Steps for Kids,” approximately the number of steps it will take to walk from Charleston to San Francisco. The journey began March 4, and he is walking through East Tennessee in mid-April to early May – April 18 he was in Knoxville and met Bishop Brian at Tyson at UTK. He’s heading down to Chattanooga next. Peter’s goal is to raise $1 per step for children’s non-profits.
He welcomes opportunities to speak about the project (in a church, school or ministry), a place to lay his head in the evening, and any folks who would like to walk along with him for any portion of his journey (a few steps or more as desired).
He is walking through several cities where our churches and schools are located: Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Knoxville, Farragut, Loudon, Sweetwater, Athens, South Cleveland, Ooltewah, Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain. He will also be walking in Sewanee.
Please keep Peter and his journey in your prayers.
