October 20, 2023 – Recently, we helped Sophia Timmerman-Pelensky launch her Kondoa Knowledge fundraiser as a part of her Gold Project for Girl Scouts. The initial phase has raised over $3,500 for the children of St. Peter St. Paul primary school. That’s equivalent to roughly 700 textbooks! We continue highlighting this fundraiser as Sophia wishes to raise additional funds to help the secondary school. Ready to help?
September 5, 2023 – Sophia Timmerman-Pelensky, member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Knoxville, and Girl Scout from Troop 22140, traveled to Kondoa, Tanzania to visit our companions in the Diocese of Kondoa. There she experienced Tanzanian culture and witnessed the challenges that Kondoan children face. As part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project, Sophia is raising funds to purchase books for Kondoan children.
