The Episcopal Church Women of East Tennessee are excited to announce Cecilia Blackledge as the 2021 recipient of the Mollie Tucker Scholarship. Blackledge is a 2021 graduate of McMinn County High School, in Athens, TN, where she earned a 3.98 GPA and an honors and distinction diploma. Throughout high school she was involved in several organizations such as the cross country and track team, the Science Olympians, National Honor Society, and Student Government. Blackledge was also deeply involved in St. Paul’s, Athens, Tennessee, and East Tennessee Episcopal Youth programs. She was an acolyte, a youth delegate to the Diocesan Convention, and attended the Province IV Youth Leadership and Networking Meeting. She now attends Sewanee, The University of the South where she is majoring in Environmental Science. Following college, she hopes to work with communities and businesses to create more sustainable practices.
