Hi, I’m Bishop Brian. I want to invite you to join Cannon Emily Bruner Doane and me from Merton’s Kentucky, a contemplative pilgrimage from April 20 through 23rd. We’ll be hosted at Knobs Haven, the Sisters of Loretto’s space near Gethsemani Monastery.
For a few days, we will step out of our noisy, busy lives into a contemplative space. We will worship in the places where Merton worshiped, encounter his writings where he wrote, have a chance to just be together in a separate space apart from our daily lives. You will be a part of this pilgrimage with other pilgrims from East Tennessee, a chance to take that space to encounter the rhythms of a new landscape, and bring that back to home, back to East Tennessee to incorporate what you encounter there into what God’s doing next in your life now.
