The autumn season for the Diocese of East Tennessee opened with three major events. The ordination of the Rev. Mark Colbert took place Saturday, September 27, at Church of the Good Samaritan, Knoxville. We were excited to have the Rev. Quinn Parman return from Florida to preach the sermon. The Rev. Rebecca Paluzzi was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, October 4, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Johnson City, with the Rev. Julia Gatta preaching. Lastly, we partnered with Union Avenue Books to bring Silas House to Knoxville for an author conversation on his first book of poetry, All These Ghosts. We thank everyone who either attended or helped host these events. We’ve had an energetic start to the fall!
