St. Elizabeth’s Advent Retreat: Readings in Isaiah

Join us on Saturday, December 6th as the Rev. Dr. Rebecca Abts Wright, the C. K. Benedict Professor of Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew, Emerita from the School of Theology at the University of the South leads us in a day reflecting on the lectionary readings from Isaiah in Year A.
Join us for a day of prayer, reflection, the scriptures, and grounding in the season of Advent as we wait for the coming of Christ.
The day will begin with Morning Prayer at 9:00, followed by three talks from Dr. Wright, lunch, and will conclude with Eucharist. The retreat will conclude around 2:30 pm.
We ask for attendees for a donation of $10 to help offset the cost of the event. You can bring payment with you on the day of the retreat. Checks may be made payable to St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, with “Advent Retreat” in the memo line.
