SUMMARY:Contemplative Walking at the Eugenia Williams House
DESCRIPTION:The School for Contemplation & Discipleship invites you to the grounds of the Eugenia Williams House for a morning of contemplative walking\, an unhurried practice of moving gently through the gardens and forest of this historic landscape. This is the October 23\, 2026 registration. \nNo experience is needed\, only a willingness to slow down\, notice the light through the trees\, and the quiet presence of God in nature.  \nPlease meet in the parking lot for a brief gathering circle and prayer starting at 10:00. Come as you are\, walk at your own pace\, and sink into the stillness of this most beautiful landscape. \nAccessibility: Please note that trails and terrain include steep drops\, uneven surfaces\, and stairs. Visitors are advised to exercise caution and hike at their own risk. \nWe will not cancel due to rain- please plan accordingly.  We will cancel in the event of lightning. \nCost: free event  \nLimited to 6 registrants \nFor questions\, contact Canon Emily Bruner \n\n\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Contemplative Practice Symposium
DESCRIPTION:The Contemplative Practice Symposium is an invitation to those who have an established practice and are ready to take the next step— to become companions and facilitators that help introduce and support the practice in parish communities. \nFacilitator formation is how the School for Contemplation & Discipleship tends the long life of this work: not just teaching individuals to pray\, but raising up the companions who will help to keep the practice healthy and growing throughout our Diocese for years to come. \nThis inaugural gathering offers three distinct paths of facilitator formation\, each rooted in its own tradition and taught by practitioners who have a deep well of experience and wisdom to share: Centering Prayer Facilitator Training\, Labyrinth Facilitator Training\, and Rooted in Stillness: Contemplative Practices for a Faithful Public Life Facilitator Training. \nClergy\, we invite you to nominate individuals or pairs from your congregation who already hold an established contemplative practice in one of these pathways and may be ready to take the next step into facilitation. \n\n\nLearn More Here
